“It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live, remember that.” -Albus Dumbledore
Hey friends!
My dad’s birthday was this weekend, and what was his birthday wish? He wanted to go to the Scottish Festival in Alma with the family! So, he got all dressed up, and away we went!
I’ll be honest, my favorite part of the festival is all of the plaid merchandise. I really appreciate plaid.
One of the first things we did was watch a presentation on the history of Scottish weaponry. It was really interesting!
We also saw some bagpipe and drum performances!
(The usual Scottish kilt and socks and shoes)
This guy gave us a fantastic presentation on the making of haggis! I now know how to make haggis!! …I will never use this knowledge to make haggis. Because I do not want to eat haggis. But, the presentation was really good! They even had a stuffed sheep, filled with the ingredients that he would pull out when he started talking about them! I’m really glad he didn’t use a real sheep like he claims he used to.
He also had very unique socks.
It was a really fun day! I unfortunately had to leave a bit early, but I know my dad really enjoyed the rest of his visit with everyone!
Thanks for reading!
Sincerely,
Kirsten
